Del, Am I correct that the "cap strips" are not actually caps, but are made by gluing pieces along side the ribs to make the edges wider? If that is correct, what is the purpose of doing it this...

When you get around to it, I have some very close up photos of the cowl hold down cable connections to the firewall. They were taken of the E.V replica in Alabama, but I'm sure they are the same for...

I had not thought of using those little bar clamps to hold things together while drilling. I have several and will definitely use them when I get to that stage.
