Mine came in at 35# and I have a GT80 in it with a 26-8 prop. That engine hauls it around very nice, takeoff around 3/4 throttle
and just driving it around in level flight at 1/2 throttle.

Coming along nicely, you're doing a super job.

I personally feel the the tailfeathers are adequate as designed, some guys have replaced the stab TE dowel with carbon fiber...

Coming along nicely.

I beleave the Laser 360 is around 60cc's, I'm guessing that if you keep your weight
to around 30 to 32 pounds it should fly it fine.

Anyone else have an opinion???

That's not too far away, I live up near Oxford. My favorite field for WW1 flying is the Aero Modelers over at Harrison, (home of the Ohio Dawn Patrol).

Yes, I have used latex on a couple 1/4 Dr.1s, it works just fine, accually it's faster as it dries fast and you can do...

On mine I sprayed the whole plane with Min wax clear satin, have not had any issues of the fuel hurting the paint.

Looking good
If you use loctite be sure to use the Blue type, it holds very well but is easy removable if need be.
With the red you need to use heat to loosen.

I ended up with the Zenoah GT 80 twin on mine, (35lbs dry), most of my flying is from half to two-thirds throttle, so I would think
that if you can keep the weight within the 30-35lb range the G-62...

Looks real good Craig, good clean build.
Can you get a little shorter shaft extention, clearance from the back ot the prop to the
face of the cowl should be about 1/4"..........:)
