I think you will find that two fully charged lipos in series will give you about 8.4 volts....

Del,

Boy that engine sounds good...I may just have to get over my aversion to gas motors....I'll bet about 1/2 throttle will get you airborne, then you won't have all that torque to contend...

It really looks great. There is nothing like a hardwood dowel for helping to form aluminum....Have you annealed the aluminum or are you using it straight off the shelf?

It really looks as though a good time was had by all. The model looks great fully assembeld.....One question.....how tall is the 1/3rd scale DR-1 from the bottom of the wheels to the top...

Looks like a lot of holes, and I suspect there are matching holes it the other cowl parts.....I snap off those little drill bits like they are free, but I'll bet you have a couple of...

What are those weights/metal blocks that you using? They look vaguely familiar but I can't place them.

One of the things that I liked about the Hanriot was that it was so BIG, to me at least.....it was my first 1/4 scale kit...1/3rd must be wonderful to work with.

You really ought to look at a 1" belt sander with the 5" disk.....I went for years...

Hey Del,

Those look great, I like the design...just slip the cable loop in and pin and it's attached. That G-10/FR-4 is very useful stuff to have around. This is going to be a very interesting...
