NO, especially if it's a WB kit:D
for me, by the time i am done with the model, i have little patience left for a detailed dummy engine.
but, who makes a 1/3 scale kit of this engine?

pricey, but after building a Williams Bros engine, i'd say it's well worth the price.
this would look cool in the nose of this airplane.

haha....i don't think there is any thing that one can find fault with in this kit.
i will of course build a bigazz rudder for it just for Don's sake:D

but dropping the kit price, engine price and covering cost out of the equation, the total cost isn't that much more than i would spend on the 1/4.
with the 1/4 i would want to run a twin, not a...

i was, but after framing up the BUSA DR1 i realized it isn't all that big in 1/4 scale.
then of course i made the mistake of reading thru Del's thread here.

no i haven't even checked the gas forum for threads yet.
figured i would ask first before going into it to deep.

so far though, the DLE engines are proving to be very good.

i'm thinking of using the DLE 111 for this model. weighs 5.5 lbs though, too much?

truly AWESOME!!!.....if there ever was a build topic that got your blood pumping in just a few short final pictures, this one is it.............this really gets ones desire for building WW1 birds...
