Don't use flat black, the guns were blued, not painted. Use testors gun metal over testors steel. Then rub and buff. Rub harder at the areas that would show wear. And make sure all the wood is sealed...

Hi Del, The tripe is looking fantastic!! On the streaking I have to agree with WF2 The photo's plainly show the heavy and light streaking on the wings. It's very noticable. You should maybe go back...

Del I have a ? How many coats of nitrate and buyterate dope did you use? I thought the paint streaking went directly on the clear doped surface? Tom

Hi Del, fuse is beautiful! Just a little idea, you might want to slip a piece of brass tube over that tail skid dowel. This will keep it from spliting along the grain of the dowel incase of a side...

Hi Del, Go to your local lumber yard and buy yourself a sheet of homasote. It comes in a 4x8 sheet. You can cut it with a skill saw, but make sure you do it out side it is very dusty when you cut it....
