Welcome to RCU.

Those HPI RCs have always intrigued me. I would love to take part in HPI's offerings, but I got too much stock in Associated at the moment . And I know what you mean about FedEx. Except my situation is ...watching my items go to and from the same FedEx depot/facility 3 times in the past week .

Got my rs4 went straight to a 11.1v lipo hahaha not a city street car. It's fast out the box and is very low. Also to many parked cars on my street. I'll take it out this weekend to a fresh paved parking lot.

I bought most of my rc's from my local store which carries a lot of hpi but has been over taken by traxxas lately. It's time to start doing the mail orders and open up a whole new world of rc's brands.

I have been enjoying getting a vehicle from a different manufacturer every time i buy. Gives you insight into a lot of different things with these fun little toys. Don't get committed to one brand. Shop around, makes things new and interesting! IMHO

I'm a dead man walking. Went to hobby store for a spur gear and walked out with this.
Have to hide it for a few days lol.

That's what happens in Hobby Shops lol. The $1400 bottle of tire glue. We've all been there, don't feel bad.

Enjoy it! That kit was a fun and interesting build! I just did that one a couple months ago with my wife and we loved it. The front diff "c" clip is the hardest part of the build. Once you get past that its pure joy and a great way to learn just about every part in the rc truck world as the layout gets your hands of tons of different things I.e. straight axles and independent, locked and slipp diffs, 2-speed (if you get the extra kit), bead lock tires and more. Such a fun truck and so diverse! And like sheograth said don't feel bad! Everyone of us has done exactly that! Its kinda how we ended up here lol

Ya i just saw that 5ive-b the other day, looks really sweet! I've been wanting to build a 5ive-t really bad for a while now. The yeti kit was just so interesting and left me feeling very accomplished. Also the upgrades with the kit are, for the most part, very thoughtful! The only piece i wish it would have come with it is a better rear driveline, the wild boar is fine to start but i know that is likely my only real weak link in the whole truck.

After having a very enjoyable span with an Associated buggy for so long, it was only natural for my stadium truck to be an Associated as well. So many common parts are used on both the buggy & ST platforms. Once I had two of Associated "4" series off-road platforms, it was obvious were I needed to go for my short course and updated 4.2 big bore shock platforms decision.

Very nice! Looks good in the straight black with all the decals! Its funny, my wife was kinda standoff ish about the build as well but once she watched me work for the first couple hours she dove right in and now she wants to do another one lol. It's weird how addicting something that is technically work can be!

Nice goth look going on there! Reminds me of my Les Paul . I'm definitely doing the flat black on my next body after I get done with the other next body on the list . The Yeti sure can drain the wallet in no time at all...if you let it.

I have a nice list of things I would love to buy for most my cars. Hard to decide which one is first for next upgrade. Like for my savage flux I want the 8 shock setup from integy asap. Was cleaning here up from a park run and notice front shocks were bent.

Are those integy shocks any good? Everything i have had from them broke immediately or sooner lol. They are very pretty though, i will surely give them that.

They are cheap and can only hope for the best. I'm sure the weakest part will be the shaft. Can't beat 100 bucks for 8 shocks. Plus yes they look bad azz
