What air compressor do you guys use?
Ok I have only been in this hobby going for 4.5 years now with the last 3 or so with big war birds and several jets.
I started with some cheap pump I had.
Then I noticed the guys at the feild were using the $29 Habbor Freight pump
Well I think my 2nd one is on its way out. I have been using a 2200 4s lipo and I tend to fill my jets to 110 psi most with 2 tank systems
So you guys tell not to buy cheap so what are my options?
Thanks

I just bought one of these:

It seems rugged. I'm going to power it with a 5000MAh 3-cell LiPo.

+2 on the Craftsman 19.2 compressor. It doesn't come with a battery or charger. It's actually cheaper to wait for a Sears sale and buy a one or two 19.2v drill kit which comes with one or two batteries and a charger than it is to buy the battery and charger alone. When they have a sale the compressor can be had for around $45.00 I keep a drill and charger in my trailer.

We have tried a bunch of different ones and always return to this one at our shop......Gel cell is only good for 1-2 seasons but easily replaceable with a new battery from Tower or elsewhere......and you can charge your cell phone while you are pumping! ;-p

+++++1 on this one. I have recently taken out the the original battery and replaced it with 2 6000Mah 7.4V lipos run in series to make it a 14.8 volt system.
They last a couple of weekends of flying before needing recharged.

I looked at a lot of compressors when I started filling air tanks on models. The Sears unit is the best of the bunch if you ask me and I would not bother with buying the NiMH batteries for the thing. Get the Li-Ion starter pack which includes the small Li-Ion battery and a charger that will do both battery types.
Yes the Sears unit will go, I think, to 150lbs. has a digital pressure readout on the back of the unit and you can set an air pressure and it will shut off if you want. I like that air pressure readout to check accuracy of the mounted gauges and I have a Corsair which has the little post thing to indicate air pressure which is pretty much hidden in the cockpit. The air pressure readout on the Sears unit allows me to see what's in the system.

Buying this one today. Done with $40-60 cheap inflators. I have burned out an average of one per flying model. Planning on buying Sears warranty too. This will hopefully be my last one,
Also, Craftsman's will inflate your care tire, easily. Not so with the other crap sold by Lowes, HF.....
