i've seen the cowling is almost 330mm wide. you could fit a dle-170 in there. i have a dle-130 in my top rc fw190 which has a cowl width of 297mm.

To fit a 170 in there you will need to move the firewall back about 30mm.
Lots of work there and as a reward for that work you might achieve entry into the world of control surface flutter and maybe even wing folding.
It’s a warbird not a 3d model……

that's what people said when i stuffed the dle 130 into my fw-190 and it flys amazing haha. i wouldn't put a 170 in this t28. i was just saying the cowl is really wide.

I'll look forward to seeing the wings fold with the 170 in it. Instead how about you send your cash to me and I'll put it to good use

Thanks for the info/clarification. Anyway, got one ordered for the UMS 260. Should be an interesting project.

i didn't say i was going to put a 170 in one. i was just saying it could fit lol. but like i said people were giving me a hard time about the dle130 on the fw190 and it handles it just fine.

whatever, even contemplating trying to fit an engine of that power into this type of model speaks volumes.

Like I said send your cash to me and I will put it to better use.

i did contribute. i said the cowl was wide enough to fit a dle-170 just as a point of reference. you then told me i was going to do that when that's not what i said and to send my money straight to you.

if anyone is trolling it's you.

me too though I have about a month or so to wait till mine is delivered, I'm in no rush as I have plenty of projects to keep working on.
Engine arrived the other week.
Need a power box
Batteries
Servos / leads
pilot maybe two.
maybe lighting system, not sure about that yet.
That is about it.

not doing a 'bash" on this one.

So I’m contemplating this one. We saw the model mike is putting together at Goshen last weekend. Looks nice! Anyone have one flying or close to flying yet? Mike indicated he has not flown his yet.
