Hi Jordan
Of course all of you can fly Thursday thru Monday which is Presidents Day.
Our event is non competitive and OPEN TO ALL Jet Pilots, turbine waiver required, there will be one trophy provided by Jet Pilots Organization that will be for the best pilot. Only the pilots will vote for that peer award.
We are not using Flight Deck, sign up at the field. We beg all of you to fill out our sheet telling us about your planes, the announcer will really appreciate it. Please......
We will have a drawing for the pilots, based on the most flights, get a ticket for each flight. We will start with 500 bucks in the kitty, 250 for first drawing, 100, 100, and 50 for the last ticket. Therefore all of you will have 4 chances to win some money.
Lunch will be provided for the pilots on Friday and Saturday by our on site caterer Cone Zone. Great burgers and more.
There are a couple of casinos close by for Lobster feasts and their famous Chocolate fondue fountains......
So far we have Rob Thomas owner of Rise UP Hobbytown our new local Hobby shop
Jet Pilots Organization
Paul Stenberg of Zap Glue/House of Balsa
E Power electric products, wiring and more
others soon to be announced

Hi Dan
Great to hear your coming early. That way we can install the speakers etc. knowing that you will be onsite the whole week. I think our English Jet friend Jonathan Smith is coming Wednesday in his motor home. I met him in Kentucky, great guy.
We are advertising on various blogs that could reach over 20k people. Cone Zone will be here with those great icy lemonades and fresh burgers too.
We will have a couple of vendors too.
Should be a lot of mid winter fun for everyone.

Hi Everyone.
The long term weather forecast is looking wonderful, severe clear skies with warm days and refreshing nights.
Also the NOTAM has been applied for, giving us 1 mile radius and a 800 foot ceiling. Full scale traffic is cleared down to 1000 AGL in our area, that should give us a 200 foot cushion. Actually we have very little overhead traffic.
Also remember that our field is at Sea Level with the actual SL line running thru the runway. That's why jets fly so good down here, the air is nice and thick.
See you all in 2 weeks.

I fly my jets at Coachella all the time. First of all if you have flown there for any length of time you will find that the wind can change direction at times. You can't always go by what the weather forecasts for wind direction. Because of that we get plenty of practice landing from the South and landing from the North. That's what make a good jet pilot. 3 to 8 mph wind for a jet is nothing anyway. If you are worried about late afternoon Sun to the south you just have to adjust your approach to a lower altitude and no big deal. DLF, if you can't land from either direction you probably shouldn't come to the event.
