Anyone interested in a NIB 1/7.75 Hornet in the Blue Angels scheme? I had it custom painted as Opposing Solo #6, in honor of CPT Jeff Kuss, whose name is on the canopy. The jet is brand new, never removed from the box. Haven't advertised it for sale yet, but I'll let it go for $5000, and we can split the shipping cost from Pensacola, FL. It's $5599 new from BVM, plus 7% if you have it delivered to a FL address.
I collected too many jets waiting for this one to be delivered and need to reduce the fleet.

Is this the Go Fly Gold, or just the airframe with pipe and gear?

I was gonna pull the trigger on this! My wife is the Command Chief at NAS Corpus Christi and when we got married, we spent the weekend at the Airshow because she had to work. This was his last full show before he passed away the following weekend.

Hope the person who got this understands what they got!!!

He does. Wound up selling it to another member of my jet team here in Pensacola/Mobile, so it will be displayed (maybe flown) at the Blue Angels Homecoming Show each November.

Earlier this year I receive the BVM F-18 Super Hornet in Blue Angels colors. I went with the #7 Jeff Kuss paint. I wished I would have gone with the #6 instead. Maybe I can purchase the rudders painted from BVM with the #6? Hello Sir, CG on front wing joiner is perfect and also makes it very easy to balance. With a K260 and 3 batteries in front, no lead needed
My son and I could make the first 3 flights just before the lock down in France, and this F18 flies really great. Best regards.

Hello guys,
do you use elevons mixing with ailerons in the 1/5 F18 ? On mine, roll rate is not very high with ailerons only, with maximum travel mechanically available. Many thanks in advance.

Mine is slow to. I haven't tried that but I've thought about it. One thing did help a bit. I changed out the servos from the Spark to a faster Savox. That helped a lot on the roll rate.

Rough guess would be no more than 240 degrees per second, but that's just from watching video. Obviously this can vary with airspeed unless the FCS is compensating to keep things airspeed independent.

If you like the BVM 1:5 F-18 you gotta see this. Pay attention to their custom cockpit screens.

Just received my 1/5 F-18 and wondering how to open the canopy? Is there a mechanical release to open it somewhere? I must be missing something simple The 1/5 F-16 has a spring loaded post in the nose cone to release canopy but don't see one on F-18.
