I'm looking at buying a Aeromarine 1/8 Scale bud hydroplane hull. Does any one have any pictures of the hull. I looked on Aeromarines web site and they only have one picture of the hull. If any one could post some pictures of this hul I really would appreciate it.

It's not a big seller in the 1/8 scale hydro boating world. The serious racers would either build their own or buy a higher quality/more accurate boat.

I've got one of Phil's hulls, the Sport 40 with the Stealth cowl. The downside is that they are epoxy-glas which translates into a lot of pinholes that need to be filled before painting.

What type of filler do you use to fill the pin holes?

Phil says to use thinned spackling, yes, the kind used to fix cracks in walls. I used some White Squadron putty that I got from the LHS. It's used for plastic models. Some will apply a thin coat to the entire hull then sand it off. A lot of the pinholes are hard to see until you get them filled or put a coat of primer on the hull. On expoxy-glas hulls you have to watch the sanding as you can have more pinholes popping up if you start sanding into the epoxy. Use Scotch-brite pads to sand with when you can.
