Saito licensed Ray's mods which were first used in the 60 size radial. It quickly became apparent that they were not going to pay to modify the existing 84's and 33's. So you just bring out a new engine..... I have NO idea if Ray's mods are incorporated into this engine but I'll tell 'ya what, those mods made a whole BUNCH of difference on my FG84...

ok that's great! So it's basically an 84 done properly with rays mods. So hopefully it will be the same diameter, with more power! I'll be anxious to order one!

Depending on who you call at Horizon, it is very possible they may not know of a new engine. Until it is in our system it is not visible to sales, customer service or, product support. It should be live on the website next week for preorder.

Well well well look at this...a new version of the FG-84. I ended up paying for thr R&D of the FG-20...., FG-57.... then I saw the FG-33 R3, FG-60 R3 and the FG-84 R3........ A bell rang in my head...."wait ans see" was the call. I do see what SAITO want to do but I can not afford the R&D.... I sold my FG-57 for an ok prise to buy an FG-61TS. I am stil not fully happy. I is hard to start, it dose not prime properly IAW instructions. I have to plug the intake stack to have good starts of open fully the trotle to start.

Now I see the FG-XX R3 is getting a thecnical up-date.... so it did not Worth to bux the first version....just like the Honda Civic 1976....(now thw best made cars)
I may buy one in one year...(FG-90 R3)

Does anyone know what the prop shaft size is on the FG84R3? The threaded end is 10mm but it enlarges along the smooth part where the prop rests

My local hobby shop called and my engine is in. I will be putting it in the Hanger 9 Corsair with the Keleo exhaust ring.
This will only be the second gas engine I have owned, and my first a DLE61 only has one flight on it.
Anxious to the the motor installed and get the Corsair flying.
